On July 8, hit by severe waterlogging triggered by continuous heavy rainfall, the roads inside the Xijiang Education Park in Guigang, Guangxi were blocked by floodwaters, leaving teachers and students of Guangxi Logistics Vocational and Technical College stranded on campus. China Anneng Construction Group urgently deployed a heavy mechanized bridge to reinforce the front line. The heavy engineering equipment, usually used for building bridges and roads, at this moment set up a stable “way home” amidst the surging floodwaters. The first batch of students has safely arrived at the resettlement area by the mechanized bridge, which is also the first group of students to complete evacuation since the equipment was deployed in this flood rescue in Guigang.
