Menya Kokoro, one of Tokyo’s most popular Maze-Soba (Japanese dry ramen) restaurant chains is coming to Singapore! Since its establishment in 2013, Menya Kokoro has opened 27 outlets worldwide in Japan, Indonesia, Spain, Thailand and Vancouver in just 4 years. Showing no signs of slowing down, Menya Kokoro’s latest Singapore outpost will be launching at Suntec City!
Menya Kokoro is helmed by founder Chef Takuma Ishikawa, who trained under the original masters and creators of Maze-soba – Menya Hanabi – the restaurant known for introducing Maze-Soba to the world. In 2014, Chef Takuma won the highly acclaimed Best 2014 Maze-Soba Award in Japan!
The Maze-Soba restaurant will serve up its best-selling signature Maze-Soba, together with Singapore-exclusive creations! Get ready to toss your noodles like you mean it, with Menya Kokoro’s signature Maze-Soba — a delicious explosion of flavours from the medley of fresh ingredients: Japanese-style slow-braised chashu, minced meat sauce made from a secret recipe, ground saba fish, poached eggs, nori, green onions, leek, bamboo shoots and fragrant chopped garlic.
On top of this, diners can enjoy two Singapore-exclusive dishes at Menya Kokoro Singapore! Try the Maze-Don, a first-of-its-kind dish — the chef has put a new twist on the traditional Maze-Soba, using 100% Japanese Michelin-acclaimed Tawaraya rice from Hokkaido and Niigata, specially selected by Singapore’s only Japanese rice sommelier. This Tawaraya rice is flown in straight from Japan in its raw state, and is polished only upon order to preserve its aroma. Diners can also tuck into a special version of the Maze-don, the Curry Maze-Don, a fragrant and flavourful Japanese curry ricebowl topped with grilled chicken!
