collaborating with Warner Bros. Picture to reimagine its signature Pepperoni Pizza as the iconic bat-signal, as part of an unusual but ingenious marketing tie-up around Matt Reeves’ upcomingsuperhero film THE BATMAN (2022).
THE BAT SHAPED PIZZA
Classic but never basic, the mouth-watering Pepperoni Pizza is reimagined twice – first as a calzone,then as the silhouette of the signature bat-signal that loomed over the fictitious city of Gotham atnight. Or in Little Caesars® Pizza lingo, “The Batman Calzony”.
Part pepperoni pizza, part calzone, The Batman Calzony features a large Pepperoni Pizza split intoeight slices, each generously topped with Parmesan and tantalising peperoni slices resting atop of bed of decadent muenster and mozzarella cheese. The culinary masterpiece is encrusted with the buttery calzone-like crust, which is filled with the signature Cheese plus Crazy Sauce® that will leave you wanting for more, on the edges. Taste only the freshest as the dough is freshly made at every store daily, while pizza’s robust tomato sauce is made using vine-ripened California crushed tomatoes.
The pizza is punctuated twice, with folds at the top and bottom, forming the heads and tails of the bat-logo. And these two calzone sections are where you can expect and savour an extra hearty serving of gooey cheesiness from the mozzarella and muenster cheese as well as an addictive garlic crazy spread. The Batman Calzony comes with a serving of Crazy Sauce® for dipping.

This pizza collaboration comes months after Little Caesars® Pizza took to social media platform TikTok in late October 2021, announcing an open-call where TikTokers attempt to impersonate the Caped Crusader and stand a chance to get casted in an exclusive commercial that cross-promotes the pizza chain and the movie THE BATMAN. The hashtag #BeLikeTheBatman has sinced amassed over 28.2 million views.
The brand’s chief marketing officer Jeff Klein said: “Anyone can now bring superhero vibes to pizza night by trying the new ‘The Batman’ Calzony. It’s the most delicious part of our partnership with the upcoming film ‘The Batman.'”
